DEUFOL and Menzell Döhle Launch DDP: A Joint Venture for Innovative, Efficient, and Sustainable Logistics in Machinery and Plant Engineering

Hofheim am Taunus, November 7, 2023

The corporate groups DEUFOL and Menzell Döhle have launched a new company named Deufol Döhle Projects (DDP), focusing on project logistics, optimization, and digitalization of goods flows along the supply chain of machinery and plant engineering, as well as heavy-duty logistics.

The goal of this joint venture is to combine the strengths of both partners to offer holistic and digitalized heavy-duty and project logistics solutions. By pooling both competencies, customer projects can be consolidated and bundled at the landside Deufol Hub infrastructure. Through intelligent digital supply chain software and smart packaging solutions, significant optimization in the stowage of cargo carriers can be achieved, and by using both in-house and external tonnage of the Döhle Group, these can be directly optimized and shipped worldwide. This continuous improvement and sustainable design of the value-added processes of our customers and partners are thus ensured.

Excellent and digitalized processes, as well as data transparency along the entire supply chain, allow for continuous improvement of the offered services. Therefore, the joint venture aims to revolutionize the project logistics of machinery and plant engineering, as well as the heavy-duty industry, setting new standards for the sector.

From packaging, storage, and comprehensive transport to construction site management, the combined expertise of DEUFOL and Menzell Döhle offers comprehensive and digitalized end-to-end logistics services to optimize operations for and with our customers, thereby increasing overall efficiency along the supply chain.

In addition to its headquarters in Hamburg, DDP currently maintains its own branch in Bremen and a presence in Bangkok, Thailand, leveraging the extensive global network of both shareholders.

To meet changing market demands and operational challenges, the shareholders of DDP have already developed a clear growth strategy. This strategy includes expanding geographical presence as well as recruiting experienced professionals.

With a vision for innovation, DDP will also expand its impact in machinery and plant engineering and heavy-duty logistics, aiming to become a leading force in the global market.
